Each episode typically features a primary storyline on the island as well as a secondary storyline from another point in a character’s life.
The show was created by Damon Lindelof, J. J. Abrams and Jeffrey Lieber, and is filmed primarily on location in Oahu, Hawaii. The pilot episode was first broadcast on September 22, 2004. Since then, three seasons have aired, with a fourth series currently being aired. The show is produced by ABC Studios, Bad Robot Productions and Grass Skirt Productions and airs on the ABC Network in the United States. Its soundtrack is composed by Michael Giacchino. About Heroes
Heroes is an American science fiction serial drama television series created by Tim Kring, which premiered on NBC on September 25, 2006. The show tells the stories of ordinary individuals who discover that they have superhuman abilities. A partial list of the superheroes include Peter Petrelli, a male nurse who flies, Isaac Mendez, a junkie who has the ability to paint images of the future when he is high, Niki Sanders, a webcam porn actress who has a superhuman strength evil alter ego that is trapped in mirrors and reflections, Hiro Nakamura, a Japanese comic-book geek who can stop time and time travel, D.L. Hawkins, an African American who can walk through walls, Matt Parkman, a cop who can hear other people’s thoughts, and Claire Bennet, a high school cheerleader that is immortal. It also explores how they adapt to the changes these abilities bring, and their roles in preventing catastrophes and saving humanity. The series emulates the aesthetic style and storytelling of American comic books, using short, multi-episode story arcs that build upon a larger, more encompassing arc. Kring and the writers have an idea of where the series is heading for the first five seasons. The series is produced by Universal Media Studios in association with Tailwind Productions, and it is filmed primarily in Los Angeles, California. The executive producers are Allan Arkush, Dennis Hammer, Greg Beeman and Tim Kring. Its incidental music is composed by Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman.
